This inviting Thai restaurant at 950 S Abilene St expertly blends traditional recipes with fresh ingredients, delivering an irresistible dining experience that stimulates the senses and warms the soul.

From the very first sip of their perfectly brewed Thai Iced Tea, you know you are in for something special. The tea's creamy sweetness refreshes and prepares your palate for the culinary journey ahead. Bua’s menu is a treasure trove of iconic dishes, ranging from comforting classics like the Drunken Noodle and Pad See Ew to more adventurous plates like the Mango Curry Chicken, stewed in rich red curry and served steaming in a traditional hot pot. Each dish bursts with vibrant colors, fragrant herbs, and the tantalizing balance of sweet, sour, salty, and spicy flavors that define Thai cuisine.

Among guest favorites, the Crab Fried Rice stands out as a perfectly seasoned, aromatic sensation, while the Khao Soi – a Northern Thai coconut curry noodle soup – is a comforting bowl of bliss on cooler days. Seafood lovers rave about the Choo Chi Salmon, lauded by diners for its complex, layered spices and tender texture, showcasing the kitchen’s skillful hand. The Black Pepper Tiger Prawn is another standout, with succulent prawns sautéed in a homemade pepper sauce that delivers a bold yet balanced punch.

Bua also honors Isaan (northeastern Thai) favorites like the Chicken Wings marinated in a secret house blend and served with a sweet and sour chili sauce that dances between smoky and tangy. For a lighter start or a crisp contrast, the Crispy Vegetable Spring Rolls make a delightful appetizer, paired perfectly with refreshing Edamame Beans or the zesty Mixed Papaya Salad.

The dining atmosphere at Bua Traditional Thai Cuisine strikes a comfortable, low-key balance—unpretentious yet cozy, making it a wonderful spot for casual meals or special dinners alike. The friendliness of the staff ensures attentive yet unobtrusive service, so whether you’re a regular or a first-timer, you’ll feel welcomed and well cared for. The ambiance complements the authentic, vibrant flavors—offering a respite from everyday hustle and a place to savor each mouthwatering bite.

Patrons like Stevie Rose express delight in the “delicious” offerings and beautiful presentations, especially highlighting signature items like crab wontons and Thai tea. Dee Dee praises the “vast menu” and the expert cooking that elevates every dish, especially the perfectly cooked carrots in their fried rice and the must-try Prik Pao noodle. Meanwhile, diners appreciate the restaurant’s ability to satisfy cravings from classic Pad Thai to veggie-friendly curries, as Svet Magnificent shares. Iris San Miguel’s praise for the red curry chicken as comparable to authentic Bangkok fare speaks volumes about the kitchen’s dedication to true Thai flavors.

Whether you’re looking to indulge in a comforting bowl of Tom Kha Soup, savor the layered spices of Jungle Curry, or sample the fresh textures of Thai Style Shumai, Bua Traditional Thai Cuisine promises an immersive and deeply satisfying taste of Thailand, right in Aurora. The service was ok, it was sufficient, I was in direct line of sight, so I'm sure if I needed something they'd be right there. The food was DELICIOUS!!! I had crab wontons (friggin amazing), thai tea (tasty and refreshing) and Choo Chi Salmon which was one of the most flavorful salmon dishes I've ever had. It was beautifully presented with a side of white rice, of course, and the veggies were perfectly cooked. I wish they'd use those veggies in the curries, but I am very much looking forward to going back!

I recently had the pleasure of dining at this hidden gem, and I must say, the red curry chicken here is one of the best I’ve ever tasted; truly on par with the amazing curries I've tried in Bangkok! The flavors were rich and authentic, making every bite a delightful experience. The Thai tea was also excellent, perfectly balanced and refreshing. My partner enjoyed his fried rice, which was delicious and well-prepared as well. The service was prompt and friendly, and the ambiance of the restaurant added to the overall experience, making it a wonderful spot for a meal. I really wish I lived closer so I could enjoy this place regularly! Highly recommend for anyone looking to experience quality Thai cuisine.

The food was awesome. We were greeted with water and a veggie tofu soup that was delicious. My aunt and I split the lunch meal of Thai fried rice with squid and it was amazing. My aunt had never had squid and she loved it. I suggest checking it out if you like Thai food because the is a nice find.

Hua Thai Cuisine is a great experience! I love the traditional Thai decor and peaceful, welcoming ambiance. The lady serving me was friendly and helpful. The food was delicious, and the service was wonderful. And the portions were great. I had another meal left after my belly was full. And they provided a Togo container and ever gave me another bowl of rice to go. I would definitely recommend!

Tldr: the food was good, the host was great and we'll likely be back. However, the customer service from the waitress was subpar. No smiles, no checking how the food was, if we needed more water and the bill was plopped down without asking if we were done. Everything we asked for was met with a dour "why you need somthing" face. This when they had 3-5 tables. We tried 307 and 951. The protein was over fried or kept for long as it was very dry while the noodles were good. The Prik Pao was delectable with a smoky flavor in the sauce and juicy ingredients. Thai iced tea was served in a nice carafe and was the perfect, refreshing complement. Really liked the ambience, especially the ceiling work. BTW, first place we have seen differentiating Thai iced tea prices based on the amount of ice you want!

Brought a friend here for dinner last week. Loved how spacious the restaurant is and the servers are friendly and attentive. They have an extensive menu with many delicious dishes. Love that they allow to control the level of spicy for most of their dishes. Thoroughly enjoyed the Yum Woon Sen and the Drunken Noodles. Great food and service.
